The visitors took the lead 15 minutes into the game, with Shelton Wright tapping home at the back post. 

On 30 minutes, the Swans' attacking pressure paid off when Alex Bell picked up the ball high up the pitch and found Olly Sully, who calmly laid it off to Jack Smith inside the area. The captain made no mistake, smashing the ball home to level the scores. 

Two second half goals from Hungerford saw the away side progress into the next round, with the first coming from a deflected free kick before Wright added his second from a corner. 

Despite the result, the Swans continued to threaten throughout the afternoon, creating a number of chances as they looked to find a way back into the game. Slimbridge's attacking presence ensured Hungerford were made to work for their place in the next round. 

Goalkeeper Callum Godfrey was called upon on several occasions, making a number of important saves to keep the Swans in the game. His performance was recognised by the matchday sponsors, The Hoptician Pub Dursley, who awarded him the MOTM.

The FA Cup campaign also marked a significant achievement for the Swans, reaching the Second Round Qualifying for the first time since the 2016/17 season. It was just the fourth time in the club's history that they have reached this stage of the competition. 

Up next, the Swans face Bishops Cleeve at Thornhill Park on Wednesday night in the GFA Challenge Cup, before taking the long trip to Falmouth on Saturday as their league campaign gets back underway. 

As for the Slimbridge 18s, they continued their impressive start to the season with a 2-1 FA Youth Cup win against Tuffley Rovers U18 at Thornhill Park on Thursday night.
