Two early goals in the first half put the team in charge of the match, and a further couple of goals in the second period sealed the win. A stoppage time strike from the hosts reduced the deficit but failed to dent an encouraging victory. 

The draw for the next round will be made tomorrow (Monday 7th September at 1.00pm). The game will be played on September 19th, which means the postponement of the League game at home to Paulton Rovers, which will now be rescheduled. 

After the hosts had an early effort ruled out for offside, Slimbridge took control of the game - with 11 minutes gone, Jack Smith's cross was converted by Alex Bell, and a minute later, an almost identical move saw Sully on hand to convert Smith's cross to put the visitors in the driving seat. 

Slimbridge continued to create chances - Bell was just wide after more good interplay between Smith and Joe Stokes, while Sully brought a good stop from Baffins Keeper Dylan Kramer, before Casey Collins had two good efforts blocked. 

The second half saw more of the same - an early Collins effort was deflected for a corner which came to nothing, although Callum Godfrey was called into action early on, making a good save from Harvey Whelham's turn and shot. 

As the game approached the hour, Alex Bell was replaced by Leighton Green, and two minutes later, Smith played Green through on goal and he beat Kramer easily to record the Slimbridge third. 

It only took until the 67th minute for the fourth to arrive - a scramble in the box saw Smith unselfishly lay the ball to his left, where Sully drilled home his second of the game. 

The only blot on the game came a minute later when Casey Collins saw red after a heated exchange with the Linesman and was dismissed. 

The last period of the game petered out somewhat, although Godfrey made an outstanding save from Curt Robbins' header before Josh Blythe made another important block as Baffins pressed. The hosts did pull one back in the 93rd minute, when Christian Ayres' long range effort drifted in, possibly aided by a deflection, but it was a mere consolation for the home side. 

The next Round of the FA Youth Cup for the Under 18 side has been arranged, with Slimbridge at home to Tuffley Rovers. The game will be at Thornhill Park on Thursday 17th September with a 7.30pm Kick Off.
