Slimbridge went out of the FA Youth Cup last night with a battling performance against Forest Green Rovers Academy side at The New Lawn.
After going into the beak a goal down, Green scored an early second goal, but a penalty from Archie Howarth on the hour mark changed the momentum of the game, and the Swans had the best of the remaining time, but despite their best efforts, Slimbridge could not conjure up an equaliser.
A 94th minute 3rd goal for the hosts gave the score an unfair reflection of the proceedings, but huge credit goes to Keiran, his team, and the players for a fantastic display in front of (unless anyone can correct me) 372 fans which is the highest attendance the lads have played in front of.
