Near record crowd for Forest Green Friendly
Sunday 6th July 2025
Friday's Pre-Season game against Forest Green Rovers, no doubt buoyed by the debut in the FGR dugout of Robbie Savage, attracted a crowd just 41 short of our Ground Record attendance, which was set on February 4th, 2017 when we entertained Hereford FC in front of 886 fans.
The attendance at Thornhill for Savage's debut saw a massive 845 people through the turnstiles, which surpassed all our expectations. Thanks to everyone who turned out and gave their support.
The draw for the early rounds of the FA Cup and FA Vase have been made.
The Swans will travel to Corsham Town in the Extra Preliminary Round of the FA Cup on Saturday, August 2nd. The winners of that tie will then make the trip to either Portishead Town or Windsor and Eton in the Preliminary Round. That game is scheduled for Saturday, August 16th.
In the Vase, Slimbridge have a bye in the First Qualifying Round, and will travel to the Winners of theTuffley Rovers v Longlevens game in the Second Qualifying Round. This game is scheduled for Saturday, September 6th.
